By planning now you can avoid potentially costly expenses for major repairs. Adams Motor Group can provide Extended Warranties on our entire used vehicle range, to provide you with peace of mind that your driving pleasure and security is maintained.

Whichever vehicle you decide on, we have flexible packages to suit your needs. Our extended warranty packages are cost-effective and provide extensive protection for you and your car, with no obligation to bring it back to our dealership for servicing.

Our cars and 4x4’s are also randomly inspected by RACQ. We use this check to constantly measure and maintain our high standard of vehicle preparation.

Rigorous 108 point mechanical inspections

At Adams Motor Group we put every used car and used 4x4 to the test with a rigorous 108 Point Mechanical Inspection so you'll know the exact condition of your next used car or 4x4.

We use this check to constantly measure and maintain our high standard of vehicle preparation.

You will receive a full mechanical inspection report when you inspect any one of our used cars or used 4WD's, completed by an Adams Motor Group Approved Repairer. Our Approved Repairers include Mark Dodge Auto Repairs, Cairns Leading Automotive, JR Automotive and Cairns Mechanical. Look for our Approved Repairer sign.

24 Hour Roadside Assistance

24 Hour Toll Free Telephone: Customer Support, providing SPECIFIC SERVICES and PROFESSIONAL ADVICE as detailed below:

Roadside Response:

Once a call for help is received, either at the customer's home or on the road, a mobile service is immediately dispatched to the scene to rectify, on the spot, the following roadside difficulties:

  • Locked/lost keys - Open vehicle, cost up to $77 GST inc.
  • Flat Battery - Vehicle will be jump started at request of driver
  • Flat Tyre - Vehicle spare wheel will be fitted
  • Out of Fuel - Minimum 5 litres of unleaded fuel supplied at drivers cost. LPG/Diesel vehicle transport to fuel supply

Towing - Breakdown

Once a call for help is received, either at the customer's home or on the road, a mobile service is immediately dispatched to the scene to rectify, on the spot, the following roadside difficulties:

In a situation where the breakdown occurs on a trip or holiday, we would transport the vehicle to the nearest service centre or mechanical repair facility.

In an after hours situation, arrangements can be made to store the vehicle and transport when the service centre or repair facility is open.

Free Service

A 20km Metro and 40km Rural free of charge service for roadside response and breakdown towing applied on a NATIONAL basis, as part of our standard service, with all excess km charged at the recommended industry rates. This free service radius can be extended to suit the client's needs.

General Assistance

We will relay urgent messages to family, friends and business associates, likely to be concerned by disruption or delay.

Arrange for alternative transport in the case of a major breakdown or accident ie taxi. (cost at drivers expense).

Exclusions

  • Vehicles used for hire or reward including rental and loan cars
  • Vehicles that require specialist or heavy equipment for removal, extraction from multi-storey or underground car parks, are bogged or are not within easy reach of a public road
  • Vehicles located off public roads (other then private residence)
  • Vehicles which have been involved in an accident/collision or have sustained damage due to impact, slashed tyres, malicious or criminal damage and/or flood damage. These should be referred to relevant emergency services, police or insurance company
  • Heavy vehicles, trucks and equipment over 3.5t gross weight

Policy Exclusions

As the warranty is not a maintenance plan rather a protection cover intended to cover mechanical breakdown of certain parts of your vehicle.

This warranty and policy does not include cover for any of the following:

  • Vehicles used in competitions, time trials, racing or rallies.
  • Damage sustained due to collision, fire, flood or deliberate act or damage sustained due to lack of oil or over-heating.
  • Damage as a result of continued operation of the vehicle after a defect has occurred.
  • Damage sustained due to negligence or as a result of failure to carry out the proper maintenance.
  • Damage as a result of modifying the vehicle from the manufacture’s specifications.
  • Maintenance items and adjustments due to wear and tear.
  • Consequential loss or damage of any type - i.e. damage to other parts as a result of breakdown or failure of items covered by or not covered by the plan.
  • Any repair or component that is covered by any other warranty, insurance policy or guarantee.9. Diagnostic and assessment time.
  • Inherent manufacturing faults, including components subject to Recall Campaigns or repairs that may be covered under Manufacturer’s policy.
  • Excludes hoses, belts, filters, oils, fluids & gases & any costs involved in retrofitting (upgrading) your vehicle’s air-conditioning system, oil & fluid leaks, corrosion & head gaskets. Burnt valves. Oil burning.
  • Vehicles that have not been maintained in accordance with the service requirements of this cover

All above exclusions apply to ALL plans.

Regular Services

Maintaining your vehicle in a roadworthy, mechanically sound condition over its lifetime is critical to ensure the safety and long-life of your vehicle.

Components Covered Classic:

Therefore, it is a condition of receiving the Extended Warranty that all servicing and repairs are to be carried out by a licensed mechanical repairer of your choice.

The vehicle must be serviced every 6 (six) months or 10,000kms (ten thousand) whichever occurs first to manufacturer’s specifications.

Any vehicle which is greater than 10 years of age from date of manufacturer or has covered (travelled) more than 200,000kms at date of purchase must have an oil filter & safety check every 3 (three) months or 5,000kms (five thousand) which ever comes first.

Note: In the event that the vehicle is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, servicing must be undertaken in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations until that warranty expires. This will maintain the validity of the Warranty until required.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT WILL VOID THIS AGREEMENT

Making a Claim

  • Read the Warranty contract carefully. Make sure your claim is covered by your Warranty Contract. If your vehicle is already at an Authorised Repairer, have them contact us.
  • Contact by telephone on (07)4052 4333 between Monday to Friday (8.30am – 5.00pm)
  • Quote the Warranty Contract number, registration number, odometer reading.Explain the nature of the problem, remembering that you are required to disclose to us all information which is relevant in assisting us to consider your claim. If you fail to disclose such information your rights to claim may be affected
  • Upon receipt of the above information we will process and consider your claim and check that all service requirements have been adhered to.
  • You must supply any document; we reasonably require to assess your claim to Adams Motor Group.
  • If the claim is valid, we may in our absolute discretion give approval for the authorised repairer to repair the vehicle within the terms of this contract.
  • No reimbursement shall be given for any work commenced without official authorisation being issued by us to the authorised repairer.

Note: An excess of $110.00 (one hundred and ten dollars) applicable to each and every claim made (excluding statutory warranty)

This Warranty Contract collects personal information about you by Adams Motor Group to register and administer your warranty contract.

Your information may also be disclosed to service providers such as Repairers, Assessors, Investigators or Loss Adjusters.
